CW33 and Heaven 97 are also conducting the Night of Gospel Competition, where viewers and listeners from both stations will help pick an additional act to perform at the event. Individuals or groups wishing to participate can upload a performance video to CW33’s website for public voting.  A panel of judges will then choose the winner from the Top 5 performers. The winning performance will be announced on Heaven 97 and CW33’s NewsFix on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 and perform at the event on Wednesday, September 30, 2015.  Full details and complete instructions for the Night of Gospel Competition can be found at cw33.com.

“This will be a night to remember said Toska Medlock Lee, event organizer and owner of The Myriad Group, a full service marketing communications agency.  “An opportunity to have a day set aside to bring inspiration to those attending the State Fair is a beautiful thing.  Our country is in such a state that if we are able to do good will among all people, we should jump at the chance,” said Medlock.

A Night of Gospel is not just about singing, but about doing good for the community as well. The concert is free but churches and all who come that day will help stock the North Texas Food Bank by donating 4 can goods for a $4 admission to the Fair.

“When this idea of A Night of Gospel at the State Fair was brought to our Church it was directly in-line with our vision as a downtown faith community, said Richie Butler, Senior Pastor of St. Paul UMC Downtown Dallas. “The State Fair is like sports arenas where it draws people of all races, from all economic backgrounds and from all quadrants of the city who will come for amusement,” explains Butler.  “But on Wednesday, September 30 for these 2 AMAZING shows, I hope people will come to be inspired and uplifted by the incredible performances and the ministry that will take place on that, said Butler.

A Night of Gospel is for everyone.  The concert is free and open to the public.  Enjoy the Fair for just $4 and help stock the North Texas Food Bank. One (4 can) donation per person. Discount may not be combined with any offers.
